About
Kwo Ping (Anchoret), trained in musicology at Shanghai Conservatory, now she makes classical music intimate — via transmedia production, audio-visual storytelling, and a raw creative instinct that cuts through the barriers between classical music and the people it was always meant for.
Rooted in Buddhist cosmology and driven by synesthesia, her music visualization work brings together instinct and rigorous musicological training. She works with OpenMusic, TouchDesigner, and Blender to create experimental audio-visual compositions.
Sound+ 声音伽
In 2025, Kwo Ping founded Sound+ 声音伽 , a media brand reimagining how music is heard, seen, and understood. Through artist profiles, music analyses, and cultural commentary — grounded in musicology but alive to personal sensory experience — Sound+ opens music to anyone willing to listen differently. For classical music: analysis becomes image, and visualization becomes a second language for sound itself.
Artist Portraits
Kwo Ping creates bespoke digital portraits for musicians — capturing the sonic identity of performers through audio-visual storytelling, and producing artist interviews that strip away the concert hall: on street corners, against graffiti walls, in the unguarded moments where music reveals itself most honestly.
